Nestled in an old Wyandotte neighborhood, the Holy Grounds is located at 7th Street and Cherry. Street parking is available on 7th street near the field, with overflow parking in the parking lot south of the field off 7th Street.
For the 2nd time in three years, Brandon Corbett has cursed a field. First The Drey, and now this! Lucky for Corbett and the Holy Balls, they always had a backup plan in case their field was occupied, so when their giant backstop vanished, they didn’t worry.
The field is still located in the McKinley Playground, just on the opposite northern end. They incorporate the tall alley fencing for the right field wall, and use the wooden fencing by the 7th street sidewalk. Silt fencing is used in center to connect the chain and wooden fencing. The new field has much better grass, and the neat ambiance is still there.
The Holy Grounds prove that even if you don’t have private land to use, you can still get very creative with your field and make it your own.

Nowhere to go #2, left field fence could give up lots of ground-rule doubles. |
