The Zoo

The Donkeys home field for the 2012 season, the Zoo, is built into the right-field corner of a softball diamond. The batters will from the edge of the gravel infield, for traction and ease of maintenance, toward the outfield fence. The result is a field that rewards non-pull hitters with deep lines and shorter center field. Although, while making the home run shots down the lines tough, all the space in the corners will create many opportunities for extra base hits. The left field line measures ~120', and right field comes in at 130'. Center field is the shortest porch of the park, but is still ~115' from home plate.
